Adult Education Opportunities for Spring
When Everything Goes Wrong, Where’s God? Join this study of the book of Job as we search for answers to today’s tough questions asked throughout history. How do we respond to suffering and loss? Where is God in our times of grief? And if God loves us, why must we suffer? This class will be facilitated by Tim Stettheimer. Survey of the New Testament: The New Testament tells the story of the good news ("Gospel") of the invasion of God into the realm of history to save humanity. This salvation does not mean flight and escape from a lower material world to a higher spiritual world; instead, it means the redemption of the realm of human history by the invasion of Christ ("Messiah") Jesus, so that the historical realm will be lifted to a new and higher level of existence. This was inaugurated by the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Christ Jesus, who accomplished this salvation for us, and will be fully and finally completed by His Second Coming. We will study this gracious rescue mission of Jesus by placing an emphasis upon the larger themes of the New Testament. This class will be facilitated by Mike Henderson. Fireproof Your Marriage: This small group study will be based on the movie, FIREPROOF. We hope you’ll relate to and be inspired by Caleb and Catherine as they work through all-too-common struggles on their way to an enduring marriage based on God’s great love. In ‘Fireproof Your Marriage,’ you’ll be issued a challenge as well- to love first, to love better and to love for a lifetime. For the first 3 Sunday’s, we’ll watch the movie together in the auditorium. Beginning Sunday March 28th, we’ll break into smaller groups for discussion facilitated by several CrossBridge couples.
