Craig Hill
writes, “Our emotional roller-coaster continues. Dad had some type of
seizure last night and was taken by ambulance to the hospital in
Florence. They stabilized him with medication and he was sent home
later. Not sure what his condition truly is day to day or what his
future holds. God’s will be done and prayers for peace as he faces
health issues are welcomed.” Craig’s Dad’s name is Johnnie Hill.
Please pray for him.
·

·
Tiffany Kemp
writes, “I will be traveling (Flying) to New York on 7/3 and returning on
7/7. I am asking for prayer that I have a safe flight there and back. Devin
will be staying with my mother & father while I’m gone. Pray for my parents
that take good care of Devin while I’m gone. Thanks a bunch!”
·
Mary Sue Tipton
writes, “Please include David on your prayer list. On July 9th,
David will have a colonoscopy and on July 10th he will have colon
surgery. David was diagnosed with diverticulitis 4 weeks ago. It was
about to abscess so all the infection had to be cleared before surgery. He
has lost a great deal of weight and has been in severe pain. Please keep
him in your prayers.”
·
Amanda Cabaniss
writes, “My friend and co-worker, Mamie Ziegler passed away yesterday from
her metastatic breast cancer. Her hospice nurse told me she died very
peacefully with her husband and daughter by her side. Her minister was there
and someone from her church choir was there singing her up to Heaven. Mamie
taught the 2-3 yr olds in Sunday School at the Church of the Advent for many
years so I know she has a special spot in Heaven. Please pray for her family
and thanks for all of the previous prayers that Mamie stay pain-free because
they worked! Thanks.”
Praises
-
Lexi Waldon was
baptized last Wednesday night! We praise God! There was a party going on
in Heaven!
-
Kelly Jacobs
writes, “I got my MRI results and it was great news. I have a tear in the
medial head of the gastrocnemius (upper and inner part of the big calf
muscle). There was a lot of bleeding which pooled in my lower leg so the
discomfort I'm feeling near my Achilles tendon is due to that
swelling...THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE TENDON! YIPPEE! NO SURGERY! I start
physical therapy soon and have been told to let pain be my guide. So I can
try to start driving and see if I can handle the movement of my foot up and
down. And I can start putting some weight on my leg. (Of course, when I
asked about when I can start working out, the doc kind of laughed at me and
said it was way too early to even ask. Oh well...) For me, this was
answered prayer and a BEST CASE SCENARIO and I AM THRILLED! Please tell
everyone I appreciate the prayers and that God made me well!”
-
Craig Hill writes,
“Praise from the Hill family – my father’s test revealed no cancer, which is
great news. Big relief and thanks for the answered prayers.” We praise
God! Continue to lift up Johnnie Hill in your prayers.
-
Devan Cooley was
able to get back on the ice last week. We praise God for healing and I
would not want to be a hockey goalie now that Devan is back in action!
-
Jordan Sullivan was in a car accident last weekend. Thankfully the only
injury sustained had to do with a toenail. We thank God for the blessing of
protection over Jordan and the four other people in the accident.
·
Shay Brewer’s father, James Hartline, had his
kidney transplant postponed earlier in the year. Tests were run on his heart
and blockages were found, but recently he has enjoyed the blessing of good
health. He’s able to cut the grass and function much better. We praise God and
ask Him for the continued blessing of good health for Mr. Hartline.

Micky Bell, past
minister for Hoover, has been in Texas for the past six months without his
family. They are waiting to sell the house before Linda and the boys join
him. Micky only sees them 5 days a month. In March, Micky started not
feeling well and they found he was anemic and started treatment but he did
not get any better. Earlier this month they found a mass in his small
intestines and said there is a 65% chance he has cancer. Recent surgery has
shown cancer is in his pancreas and intestines. We said a prayer for him on
Wednesday night and he asks for prayers for his healing and to be able to
have his family with him as they all really need each other at this time.
Please lift this fellow believer up in prayer.
-

Jennifer (our daughter), Burch (our son) and I flew to Texas to be with my
father and mother for the last several days. It was my mother’s 85th
birthday. My father did pretty well until Sunday when he started to become
weaker. I am afraid that he set her birthday as a goal. That he would live
until her birthday. We flew home last night as scheduled. My mother took
him to the emergency room this morning by ambulance. He is becoming weaker
and weaker. My father told me Sunday that he has made peace with his
situation and he is not afraid of dying. His only concern was for my
mother. She has taken care of him all these years and since diagnosis, she
